  Call for help
EDIT EDIT EDIT!!!
The money to get Dooey back has been raised. THANK YOU ALL, everyone who bought something or even spread the word. I didn't know if this would even work, much less work in just a couple hours! I am really humbled and will work extra hard on your commissions!

DOOEY
If you know me, you may know that I'm a fairly private person (despite my constant nonsensical myspace bulletins and updates) and that I don't really like to ask for help or to air my laundry for all to see. You might also know that I love my cat Dooey about as much as anyone has ever loved a cat. He's kind of a maniac but he's kept me more or less sane during some dark times. I am about to ask for a big favor because I need your help to keep Dooey in my life.
DOOEY and me
Earlier this week, he was suddenly taken ill and when I took him to the vet they told me that he'd probably had a urinary tract infection that had led to crystals forming in his bladder and blocking his urethra. This made his bladder full of poisonous urine that he could not pass, and they needed to get a catheter in him immediately and drain him, etc. The catch was that the whole procedure was going to be 900$. Now, I don't have 900$, or anything remotely close to 900$. No one I know has that much money and I wouldn't feel comfortable borrowing even the bulk of that from anyone in any case. At first I thought that I was going to have to have him put to sleep but the long and the short of it is that to save his life, I had to sign ownership of Dooey over to the vet and they will absorb the cost of the procedure, nurse him back to health, and then adopt him out to someone else. This was literally one of the worst days of my life and I'm not ashamed to say that I sat in the vet's office crying as I signed away my best friend. I felt pretty much like the worst parent ever. The only consolation I had was that he would at least live to bite someone else's ankles as they walked down the hall.

I AM ashamed to admit that I spent the next couple days feeling hopeless and not being all that proactive. However, I must try one last attempt at fixing this problem, and here's where I humbly ask for your assistance. I need to raise 900$ or at least the bulk of that by tuesday morning. It seems impossible to me, but I don't have much to offer besides my art, so I'm offering super cheap commisions and discounted art, with free shipping on everything except the really huge framed pieces. I know that times are tough for all of us right now, so any little bit you can contribute to help me get my baby back will be appreciated more than I can even express.

ISSUES OF STUDYGROUP12
SG12 #2SG12 #3
These are my personal copies of the anthology I put out from 2001-2003. The second issue is a hand-made trade paperback type thing and the 3rd is a spiral bound notebook style thing, also handmade with love. Both have silkscreened covers and xeroxed insides. The 3rd issue has a cool color section and won an ignatz award in 2003. Comics and art from Marc Bell, BALD EAGLES (Victor Cayro), me, Sammy Harkham, Josh Simmons, Todd Bak, Andrice Arp, Souther Salazar, and many more. These are pretty much impossible to find. For what it's worth, I'll sign and do a drawing in any of these ordered. The 3rd issue has two variants, a blue version and a yellow version- first one to order one of these gets their pick.
